I looked into many and Dr. Paul was fantastic. His office is great, nurses are amazing and he is obviously knowledgeable and talented. He isn’t out to get your money, he is out to give you the best result for you. I’ve since sent a few friends who he gave different treatments to because it was best for them.
I’m almost a year into my hair transplant and results are great. He’ll set your expectations before and tell you realistically what you’ll get.
In the days leading up to the procedure you’ll get all the information and can ask all the questions you need. He provides you with a print out which has all the steps.
On the day of the procedure, he explains the process and gets to work. I was in at 7am and out after lunch. I didn’t feel any pain at all and even had a nice sleep on the table because I was so relaxed. His bedside manner is great and he makes you feel calm. If you want him to explain things as he goes he will, if not, he won’t. I didn’t, because I prefer to not know what’s going on!
In the days after you can call with some questions if you have any. His nurses are also very knowledgeable and qualified. For me, the only discomfort was the itchy donor area at the back of my head for a few days but is normal and wasn’t painful and I called and they suggested some things to help. The new area did not itch at all or have any pain, you just need to protect it and let the grafts heal. I was back to work the next morning (remotely).
After a week I went for a check in and all was fine and then it’s the waiting game. A year on for me and I’m so glad I did it and that I went with Dr Paul”. B.S.

“If you are anything like me, you just got out of the shower after finding a disheartening amount of hair in your hands upon washing. Or maybe you just woke up and see that you have little hairs all over your pillow (again). If this is you, don’t panic. Take a deep breath because you have come to the correct page.
Next month, it will be one year since my FUE hair transplant with Dr.Paul…man does time fly. Although a year older, I appear to be 10 years younger and no I am not Benjamin Button, I am just a very happy patient of Dr. Paul.
Rewind to a year ago, my hairline was receding, as well as thinning with a small bald patch forming toward the back of my head. I felt down and reached for a hat whenever I wanted to hit the town or go out with friends. Not a good feeling as you likely know reading this. I was tired of thinking about my hair and wanted my old self back. With the support of my family I went in to meet with Dr.Paul.
From the very first meeting, Dr. Paul made me feel comfortable and excited with what I was about to undergo. He is a doctor, but also an artist with a vision for what will look natural and suit you best. When it came time for surgery day, I was totally calm (and I usually don’t even like getting my blood drawn) but that is the environment Dr. Paul has created. The staff puts you at ease, and you really don’t feel a thing. You feel very well cared for.
As most would rightfully wonder, what is the recovery like? In my personal experience recovery was very easy. I did not get swollen and I experienced no pain. There is an option for Alona (one of Dr.Paul’s assistants) to come over the day after to unwrap your bandage, and this is something I highly recommend. She is absolutely amazing, and it is nice to have someone with so much experience see how everything looks the day after and assure you everything is great.
From that point on, you see your hair slowly start to grow in, which is amazing and honestly extremely fun. In no time you begin to see your old self return and with that you throw a couple hats away (haha). Then in a blink it is almost a year and you realize what a great investment in yourself you’ve made.

Moreover, I was shocked to learn that Dr. Paul’s recommendation for me was not a surgical one—he recommended that I use a proprietary topical solution twice per day. Needless to say, I was skeptical. When I was searching for a doctor who could perform the procedure, I had decided that I needed a skilled surgeon who truly has in depth knowledge of hair transplant procedures. When I began doing my research, there were many groups and doctors who apparently spent a lot on advertising their services, but when I did further research and read patient reviews, I knew those doctors were not the ones for me. They spent more time on advertising the procedure and less with their patients according to reviews.
After many calls to many hair transplant facilities and doctors, I found one that stood out – Dr. Ben Paul located in NYC. I found the Dr. Paul’s website and decided that I wanted to submit photos of how my hair loss looked online. After I sent them in to the doctor, he called me on my cell phone and explained that he would like to see my in person, but that he thought that I was a great candidate for a hair transplant. As soon as I began speaking to Dr. Paul, I knew that he had a thorough understanding of hair and had my best interest at heart.
I met with Dr. Paul in NYC. Dr. Paul is so easy to talk to. He thoroughly explained my hair options. I decided to proceed with a FUE procedure. I was impressed that he did not push anything at all, but rather explained all my options and asked me what I wanted. Then he explained the pros and cons.
There are so many qualities that Dr. Paul has that I am thoroughly impressed with. He is down to earth and the easiest doctor to speak with. He truly has the best bedside manner of any doctor that I have met. He thinks about not just how you will look after the procedure but also how you will look in the future. Dr. Paul explained to me that when he prepares for a hair procedure, he has to think how the patient will look years down the road. He has to account for any future hair loss that you may have. This is extremely important to me, because I am fairly young. Any qualms that I had regarding the procedure were put at ease.
And now that I am three weeks post FUE procedure, I can tell that my initial impression of Dr. Paul was exactly right. He is a skilled surgeon. I realize that the doctor had to take into account many aspects of my hair, such as how my hair grows. I know that he did this, because I cannot tell which hairs he transplanted as my hair looks so natural. I am thrilled with the results already.
I have to admit that I am not the easiest patient, as I had many questions. I emailed Dr. Paul at least 20 times already about questions at all times of the day and night.
